Reality sets is reallllll quick😆 I will never forget my first night alone in the backcountry… I hardly slept, definitely cried & still swear that a bear visited my camp in the middle of the night-I was too scared to peek outside my tent so we’ll never know for sure🤦🏼♀️ That was 7 years ago & I’ve come a long way since then but I think that I’ll forever be scared of the dark. I have gotten much more comfortable out there though, I think gaining a solid understanding of how to mitigate risk & learning what triggers my fears has helped-I cannot camp alone in the trees, I need a open area, this may not be logical & leads to more exposed campsites but it helps me sleep at night😂 • • • #solo #solocamping #solobackpacker #solofemaletraveler #camping #backpacking #mountains #overnight #fear #backcountry #backcountrypaws #tent #camplife #camp #campvibes #wilderness #wildernessculture
