If you work with me in my therapy practice, or listen to the podcast, you know there are two things I say a lot: ​​​​​​​​⁣​​​​​​​​ 1. A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there​​​​​​​​ and...​​​​​​​​ 2. Nothing changes if nothing changes​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ There's been several themes among the collective that I've noticed over the last few months - experiences of being stuck and feeling unsure. So, lets get into this "Nothing Changes, if Nothing Changes" spread. ​​​​​​​​ 💭 A thought to change: Ten of Swords - Whatever shitty thing that has occurred means I quite literally need to hide away in this chest and throw away the key. ​​​​​​​​ ✔️ A behavior to change: Five of Coins - Trying to fix it all alone. You're just going to end up depleted - or like this guy - trying to scrape whatever he can from the bottom of the barrel only to discover there's nothing left. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ 🧭 Possible Outcomes: Two of Swords - After putting in the work, you're going to have to choose between continued growth, or stagnation. Earlier, when I was talking about the things I say most often - I mentioned comfort zones. We naturally want to fall back into patterns and ways of being that feel familiar - even if they're not good for us.
