This stadium has a total capacity of + 30,000 spectators and is the headquarters of the football club Persiba Bantul. Sultan Agung Stadium was inaugurated by the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X on 24 June 2007. The west stand of the Sultan Agung Stadium has been provided with supporting facilities and began operating in November 2010. The number of spectators in the west stand reached 5,000 people. Even though not all of the grandstand area is covered by a roof, there is already a VVIP guest area. This stadium is also one of the stadiums that has European quality grass. Starting December 2010, Sultan Agung Stadium began to have lights installed at 4 points. With a power of 1200 Luxs, the lighting at Sultan Agung Stadium meets AFC requirements. This stadium is where Indonesian League 1 football games take place. Sultan Agung Stadium has a field with FIFA standards, namely 105 meters long and 68 meters wide, this size is the middle size of FIFA standards. Sultan Agung Stadium has a football field surrounded by an athletic track and has one grandstand in the west with a capacity of 5,000 spectators.
