TRIGGER WARNING Damaged foot. Some of you might say: “chill it was just a bunion.” . A usual bunion operation takes around 30 minutes. As you can see in the photos, I didn’t have a regular bunion. What was planned as a 30 minutes surgery took 3 hours at the end. . The doctor broke some bones, cut some pieces off and closed the foot with 2 screws in it again. . After a while I had another surgery to get the screws out. Doctor said there’s a big chance that I won’t be able to run again properly. It was the reason I’ve hesitated with this surgery for years. It took me about a year to walk normally without pain and even until today, after more than 20 minutes on a bike I feel that the foot is getting numb. . I can be wrong, experts can be wrong, everybody can be wrong. That should never stop you from trying or believing in yourself. We all have one short life, sometimes we shouldn’t listen to what we’ve been told what we can’t.
