Making this tattoo and researching about Abhimanyu, the valiant warrior from the Mahabharata, was a profound journey that reminded me of how mythology's metaphors intertwine with real life 📜 A recent client of mine who related to some aspects of the character in his own life story entrusted me with this vision, as he knew my fascination and expertise with mythological art 🖼️ To add depth and texture to this piece, I used whip shading, which is a tattoo shading technique that involves creating a textured or gradient effect by rapidly moving the tattoo needle across the skin's surface. This helps me produce a series of closely spaced, fine lines or dots that blend together to create the appearance of shading or gradients.
