There is no reason that is strong enough to justify your bad deed of abandoning your dog baby. Don’t get a dog if you can’t keep a dog. Our heart bleeds for such dogs that spend their whole life at a home and then all of a sudden they move to a shelter. Their whole life was their family and now the family just abandoned them for whatever foolish reasons they have. The dog’s world is shattered and he probably suffers from depression too. Eddy here was left at a clinic for treatment of his skin infection. No one ever bothered to check on him. A rescuer (who practically lived at the clinic due to her extensive animal welfare work) could not bear the sight of seeing a senior, paralyzed, HOME dog sitting there day after day. With the consent of the family, after of course begging a 100 times, she managed to send the dog to ToC. Eddy is suffering from spondylosis (an age-related condition), nerve issues, tick fever and is unable to move/walk right now. His tick fever treatment is going on. Starting tomorrow, he will be receiving steroid and pain killers, which, we are hoping, will help him get up and start walking. While nothing is certain, we still need to try. We would also like to add that the pain killer shots will be given to some of our other senior dogs with similar issues.
