4-ingredient Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce 🍎🤗 with apples from our tree 😍 Try it out for your #RGECookbookClub entry this month during apple szn. This recipe really brings me back because we had 6 apple trees on our farm growing up and we had to find all kinds of ways to use them up. This recipe was one of them 😇 no added sugar needed because it’s sweet & cozy and promise you will love it Ingredients: 8-10 medium apples, unpeeled (I like gala, but any variety works), cored, and chopped Juice of 1 lemon 1/2 tsp cinnamon (I used extra here) 1/4 tsp ground cloves Directions: combine all ingredients in a large pot. Cover and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Stir, reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes, or until the apples are soft. Use a potato masher or fork to mash the apples to your desired consistent. If you prefer a chunky applesauce, don’t mash all the way. If you prefer smooth, an immersion blender works great. Serve warm, at room temp, or chilled.
