Dropping 💣 over here!! Had to say it because I feel like there is so much confusion around this… Clients think coming with dirty hair is better, but really idk where you heard this but it’s BALONEY. There’s nothing more vile than someone getting in my chair from a workout with sweaty hair or hair that’s not been washed in a week. You wouldn’t NOT shower before getting a Pap smear would you? No! So why is hair any different? You should also be washing your hair as it becomes oily to prevent fungus growth and from oil oxidation in the follicles which can lead to hair loss. Everyone’s lifestyle and oil production varies so there is no magic number, just wash it as it becomes oily. Bottom line is washing your hair is not only considerate, but it’s better for your hair health and the the coloring process. I know we are all busy people, running from one thing to the next, but just think what it would be like for you to have to for hours touch someone else’s smelly, sweaty, dirty hair? Gross right?
