Rajasthan aur yaha ke artisans, dono ki kuch baat hi alag hai 😍 If you know me thoda sa abhi, you’d know that I fancy the “creative process” more than a finished product. And I feel truly blessed that my work allows me to be in the ground - interact with craftsmen, understand their artful concoction, discover new learnings while working with them (the ladies were lil shy in the beginning but ek baar jo khule hai hum kaam ke sath sath baaton me 😀) Last few hours in Kishangarh with the amazing team of @tilakstoneartsindia have been nothing but plain beautiful. Working on something really interesting with them where Art and it’s Artisans, both are given the same pedestal ! Once this video comes out, I am sure you would start seeing handicrafts with a whole new different lens. Because honestly, parde ke piche saalon ki mehnat aur experience lagti hai which somehow isn’t being credited/valued enough in today’s e-commerce, fast fashion culture. At least not with those “PP” messages 🤦🏻‍♂️ Of course had to tick off the gram famous Dumping Yard too, famously called Switzerland of India.
