Château Lafite Rothschild 1989 🍇 1989 @chateaulafiterothschild is blend by 67 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot, matured during around 18 months in 100% new barrels. 🍷 On glass wine is dark colour with glints of purple giving the wine a bright and lively appearance. 👃 At first,the nose is little closed, the fruit is expressed, with a slightly dominant woodiness, complex aromas of currant and crushed berries, with hints of dried flowers. Blackcurrant and undergrowth notes. 👅 On the palate, the texture is tight and dense, tannins are very fine and there are a great freshness. Then the heart of the wine comes through, with solid, compact and very structured balance. Very chewy, many juice with intense tannins, mint, polished and velvety. Long and pretty wine. The finish stays long time and it’s very expressive and beautiful minerality and freshness. Very dense tannins.
