I was dying to read it! I have loved this author’s previous work and to hear this was going to be the new AHS season, I was hooked. “I hope we stop assuming that pain is a woman’s birthright and start trying to find a way to ease the burden, just a little.” Holy trigger warning! This book has a lot of them. I have never been pregnant, nor had any type of experience with it and I just can’t even imagine. This book will give you some straight up nightmares. Not sure what I was expecting but the anxiety and fear is literally dripping off the first page. It’s unsettling and unforgiving. I really liked the deeper meaning behind this and that the author used this to share her struggles. She handles it “delicately” but she is honest in all its brutality. I didn’t ever quite know where this was going and once I got to the last 100 pages I was flying to see what was going on. I’m not usually one for the whole Motherhood trope but this one was just so good. Borderline horror and I loved all the creepy, sinister vibes it gave off.  I always love a smirk inducing ending and this one delivered.   QOTD: Have you watched American Horror Story?
