We’ve learned to always expect the unexpected. So yesterday when we were on a walkie and some guys from across the street yelled asking if we wanted a puppy there was not a second thought as we yelled back yes. It seems anyone walking by would have been offered this cutie, which could easily lead to a lifetime of trouble for this husky mix. Though they went back on the offer saying a friend was taking him, a short time later the man who had him called and brought the puppy over to the refuge. James has seen so much in his young life, we are grateful for the man who scooped him out of a bad situation in California, got him his vaccines and then drove him home to CT. He had wanted to keep this puppy, but being a cross country truck driver it just wasn’t feasible. James is now safely with us, he’s been checked by our vet and he’s making some friends. Thanks to good choices and our obscure walking route yesterday James is on the path to a good life. We believe he is a husky shepherd mix that is 10-12 weeks old. James’ ideal home has experience with these breeds, he is a good puppy who will thrive on training, mental stimulation and exercise. 🐾 Want to adopt one of our amazing dogs?
