💌 The “Goodbye to Love" exhibition features the work of artists Jinju Lee, James Webb and Hyesoo Park. @artistjinju was born in Busan, Korea in 1980. She received a BA and MA in Eastern painting from Hongik ­University, where she is currently a professor of Eastern painting. She uses in-depth observations about life and our reality to create detailed images of memory fragments or everyday objects that have symbolic meaning. Lee employs the techniques of Eastern painting that are used to depict details to create scenes that feel intensely foreign, but are actually grounded in the real world. They feature encapsulated memories, floating islands, and introverted landscapes inhabited by solitary figures who are both poignant and unsettling.  💔 Goodbye to Love: Conversation of all those whose lips are sealed (1 Oct 2023 – 7 Jan 2024). Jinju Lee werd in 1980 geboren in Busan, Korea. Ze behaalde een BA en MA in oosterse schilderkunst aan de Hongik Universiteit, waar ze momen­teel professor oosterse schilder­kunst is. Ze gebruikt diepgaande observa­ties over het leven en onze realiteit om gedetailleerde beelden te creëren van geheugen­fragmenten of alle­daagse voorwerpen die een symbolische betekenis hebben. Lee hanteert technieken van de oosterse schilderkunst om gedetailleerde scènes te creëren die intens vreemd aanvoelen, maar in feite gegrond zijn in de echte wereld.
