🥕Why is Wonky Veg so frowned upon?🥕 In a world where nothing is perfect why do we strive for perfection? To the point where healthy, fresh produce is turned away because it’s the wrong shape, size or colour? It’s mad really isn’t it. Can you imagine if we threw away every wonky carrot? Every potato with scab? Every nibbled salad leave? We would have very little at the end. And yet that’s what our supermarkets make our fruit & veg farmers do. Did you know 49% of British fruit and veg farmers reckon they will have to close their business within the next 12 months because of unfair pay, unfair terms and produce being turned away! It’s shocking!
