Yes it is September and this is how our campsite looked like one morning at the Arctic forest in Finland. It is incredible how the weather can change overnight 🤯 For a day it felt like winter is here😅 We had snow and high wind and it was really nice to see how well our tipitent and open shelter ( Laavu in Finnish) can handle these conditions. We don't carry termometer with us, but our guess is outside temperature could have been around -5°c. But Inside the tipi, we had at least +20°c when our wood stove was burning, having a warm cottage is such luxury. Especially when it weights only 4.5kg 😅. Also, the possibility of drying our gear is simply priceless. Without the tipi and wood stove, good luck drying wet clothes after a full day of hiking in Lapland during autumn season. If you are going for an outdoor adventure in the Arctic during Autumn, It is really a good idea to prepare well for cold and went condition. Packing a right gear makes the life much more fun and enjoyable out there 😍 🇫🇮 Kyllä, tältä leirimme näytti yhtenä aamuna Suomessa, vaikka on syyskuu. On uskomatonta, kuinka sää voi vaihtua yön aikana 🤯 Päivän ajan jopa ajattelin, että nyt tuli talvi 😅 Saatiin lunta ja tuulta ja oli todella hyvä testata tiipii-teltan ja laavuteltan kestävyyttä. Meillä ei ole lämpömittaria, mutta arvelemme, että ulkona lämpötila on ollut -5. Mutta teltan sisällä lämpötila on ollut vähintään +20, kun kaminassa on ollut tuli. Lämin teltta on varsinaista luksusta, etenkin kuin se painaa vain 4.5kg 😅 Lisäksi se, että märät vaatteet saa kuivattua teltassa, on korvaamatonta. Ilman tiipii-telttaa ja kaminaa, onnea vaan vaatteiden kuivaamiseen koko päivän vaelluksen jälkeen sadepäivänä ja syksyllä. Jos olet menossa sekkailemaan ulos pohjoiseen syksyaikaan, on hyvä idea varustautua kylmiin ja märkiin olosuhteisiin.
