Simple Cycling Technique Tip To Improve Your Power on Climbs This is a great one for beginners and all other levels to practice. Engaging in the effort you are doing means more than just pushing hard on the pedals. Unfortunately for many, the connection with their movement stops there. Start building this form by doing this at first for timed duration. Challenge yourself to engage the upper body in the movement, and to ride in a more efficient and engaged position as demonstrated in the video. If you are doing structured workouts/ interval training, it’s great to check into the form while doing the efforts. The best part is, this can even be done indoors on a trainer! Cues: 1. Make sure your hands are placed properly on the bars, and that you are pulling on them for leverage. ( I have several tutorials on my page for this) 2. Bend those elbows and, elongate that spine! 3. Tilt that neck down a bit to eliminate the sharp curve in the spine for better posture, and massively improved aerodynamics. 4. Glutes glutes glutes glutes and glutes!
