Araştırmanın ana bulgusu şöyle: Eğitim yüz yüze yapıldığında çekici öğrenciler daha yüksek not alıyor. Bu sonuç kız öğrencileri de erkek öğrencileri de kapsıyor. Ancak bu durum öğrenci-öğretim görevlisi ilişkisinin daha yüksek olması beklenen “sözlü” dersler için geçerli. Uzaktan eğitimde çekici kız öğrencilerin notları düşüyor. Çekici erkek öğrenciler ise uzaktan eğitimde bile daha yüksek not almaya devam ediyor. Matematik ve fizik gibi öğrenci-öğretim görevlisi etkileşiminin daha düşük olduğu nicel dersler çekicilik ile notlar arasında bir ilişki bulunmadı.
