What I thought about this book: • I loved Tate's character in the other books, so I was interested to see how his story played out. • I didn't think I'd be more annoyed with a mom than I was with the Hartley's mom, but here we are. • This book was super easy for me to fly through. I found myself sitting with it for hours on end. • I kind of suspected the connection with the parents, but the reality was pretty awful. • The worst part was how it hurt Tate so much. • The scenes where Cassie hashes it out with both Nia and Gemma were so cathartic. Oof, I'm so glad that I read this one. It is, by far, my favorite of the Avalon Bay books. I loved Tate and his cinnamon roll self so much. Who says blonde mmc's can't be amazing? And I loved Cassie's character, too. She was my favorite of the leading ladies.
