Over exact 4 weken vindt het concert "Songs of Slavery and Freedom" plaats in het Concertgebouw. Het wordt een enerverende, muzikale reis langs het onderbelichte verhaal van een bijzondere muziekgenre, ontstaan als uitvloeisel van het trans-Atlantische slavernijverleden. Zingend, dansend en musicerend wordt het ontstaan van Gospel langs de trans-Atlantische slavernijroute gelegd. Wij zijn dan ook erg trots dat ZO! Gospel Choir als allereerste gospelkoor van kleur het podium van het Concertgebouw betreedt om dit noodzakelijke verhaal te vertellen van onze gedeelde geschiedenis, niet alleen om te verbinden maar vooral ook om gezamenlijk te helen.
