Hi furriends, today is Jacob’s Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day🌈💔😿 . Meowmy found him dead on the sidewalk at the front door on September 25th 2019. He was 10yo. They spent 5 wonderful but tough years moving houses because of horrible landlords before they settled here. Meowmy adopted him in 2014 when he was 5yo at the shelter where his owner was forced to leave him four years after adopting him exactly at the same place, because she had to go to a retirement home where pets were not allowed😢 . Because Meowmy was in so much trouble at that time and had so many things on her mind that she only thought about trying to get in touch with Jacob’s previous owner only after his passing. Sadly after Meowmy’s request the shelter was a bit reluctant and didn’t get back in touch with her to tell her if she was allowed to contact her or let her know that Meowmy wanted to send her news about Jacob. Meowmy would have loved to send photos of him and tell her Jacob had a happy life but she missed that opportunity. She feels so bad about it as Jacob’s previous owner must have been heartbroken to leave him. . As you can see he was the first one to support Meowmy when she started her vegetable garden out with nothing. It was a lot of work and he was there to encourage her with his joyful personality. . He was such an energetic, funny and happy cat, enjoying simple things like having a nap in the sun on the top of the stone front porch and climbing trees. Buddy reminds Meowmy a lot of him, their personalities show troubling similarities and she thinks the Universe brought Buddy into Meowmy’s like for that reason. . Jacob had his own pillow next to Meowmy’s and he was very good at telling her without words when it was time to go to bed. .
