Who else loves the Stag’s Leap District in Napa Valley? ❤️ ‌ Driving up the Silverado Trail, the Stag’s Leap Palisades jut out as a rugged, warm welcome to one of the most celebrated sub-AVAs in Napa Valley. I had the chance to check out Odette last week, a winery in the heart of SLD, and explore some of the unique qualities that make this little nook of Napa Valley so special. ‌ Added to the PlumpJack collection of wineries in 2012, Odette symbolizes femininity, strength, and power. When I think of the Stag’s Leap District, these are characteristics I often think of in the wines grown there. ‌ Besides being CCOF-certified with their farming, Odette’s tasting room and winery are Gold LEED-certified. The winery actually has a living roof! 🍃 ‌ Where their Adaptation label serves as a celebration of the entire Napa Valley and features a lovely Cabernet and Petite Sirah, Odette’s namesake label is dedicated to a single Chardonnay that is produced from grapes coming from Hudson Ranch in Carneros and two estate-grown Cabernets from the 45 acres where their tasting room sits. We had the chance to sample the 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon while visiting.
