Athens - National Archaeological Museum- Mycenae rich in gold 1-2- Ritual vases-rhyta, Mycenae. 16th century BC Ritual vases are characteristic grave offerings in the royal burials at Mycenae. These same vases were probably used as rhyta (ritual funnels) during the funeral ceremonies. The influence of Minoan Crete is obvious in the choice of the shapes, for example the bovine head, and the stone vases were imported from specialized Cretan workshops. The bull symbolizes vital power and fertility, and the lion could be an expression of natural strength and dominion. 3- Gold death-mask made of sheet metal with repousse details. - Undecorated gold funerary breastplate 4- Gold signet ring with hunting scene: an archer targets a deer from a two-horsed chariot.
