I was really excited for the release of this book I followed the author on Tiktok and often saw posts about it. I have to admit though that it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It ended up feeling very YA and often I thought about not finishing. But then something would make me reconsider only to be dashed again! Don't get me wrong it's a cute and funny story. I just wanted something a bit darker. It was more of a light fluffy read… the only character I really enjoyed was Kingsley the frog. And then it ended on a cliffhanger… so if you want fluffy go for it but be aware it’s a super slow burn if you wanna call it that. 🐸 QoTD: what was the last book that didn’t live up to your expectations? 🐸 🏷️ #romance #fantasy #fantasyromance #slowburn #grumpysunshine #bookstagram #redtowerbooks #newreleases #touchheranddie #humor
