I can’t thank you all enough for all your comments/questions/prayers/support!! ❤️❤️❤️ I haven’t given an update in a bit and that’s because I haven’t really had one (although I wish I did!). Last week was 6 weeks post second biopsy so we repeated X-rays and did a second cytology to see if we could find out anymore information. To no surprise, the cytology came back inconclusive but the huge positive is the X-rays showed minimal changes in these past 6 weeks. 🤞🏼🙏🏼 Quick recap - we’ve done a CT scan, 2 sets of x-rays, 2 cytologies, 2 bone biopsies and still don’t have a definitive diagnosis… Based on the location of her lesion and her original CT scan, we were told it was osteosarcoma. Because of her young age, we decided to move forward with a biopsy to triple check. In the time since, we haven’t been able to confirm it is or isn’t osteosarcoma and instead have just added other more rare bone cancers to the list of possibilities. 😵‍💫 Although this is extremely frustrating/confusing and an emotional rollercoaster for me 🤯😅 Ziggy is doing GREAT and is barely bothered by the limp! She’s eating extremely well, now that I’m cooking all her meals 🫠, and is her same happy self!! (Hopefully just a little stronger from all her supplements lol) So what’s next… unfortunately we are stuck in this frustrating holding pattern and have to wait and see at her next scans.
