Space for Humanity is proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and honor the contributions of Latinos to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. One of our Board of Advisors members, supporter, and friend of the mission, astronaut José M. Hernández, is a shining example of how a dream can become a reality with hard work, perseverance, and passion. José’s incredible journey from a migrant farmworker to a NASA astronaut is the subject of the new film, A Million Miles Away, starring Michael Peña, which we are so happy to share just debuted at #1 on Amazon Prime! We invite you to watch this inspiring movie and learn more about José’s life and achievements. He is a true role model for the next generation of citizen astronauts who will go to Space for Earth. We also think back fondly to when José shared his story in spoken word form over Ravé Mehta's improv piano sound bath meditation for our Vision Circle Weekend in 2021. It was a magical and memorable experience that touched our hearts and souls.
