MEDITERRANEAN FLAVORS IN THE HEART OF HONOLULU! 🇹🇷🌴 Located in Ward Village, Istanbul Hawaii is arguably the most popular Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant in Honolulu! Scratch that, it’s arguably one of the most popular restaurants in Honolulu, period. We’ve been lucky to have dined here on a few occasions and every time all tables are full and there’s a line. That means they must be doing something right, right?! Well, if you ask us, they are doing everything right! Turkish and Mediterranean foods utilize a different flavor profile that many of us locals are not used to, from the spices to the cooking techniques to the ingredients. This is why you need to visit Istanbul Hawaii because it allows you to try something you normally wouldn’t eat. Their menu is very expansive and can be quite intimidating but fret not, the servers are very well educated and are so helpful in choosing the right dish for you. Standouts for us were the Meze Platter (great dish because you can sample different things), the whole Sea Bass prepared Mediterranean-style and the 100-day in-house dry-aged Ribeye. The garlic brown butter was to die for! They also have a very expansive craft cocktail list that any cocktail connoisseur would swoon over.
