30 years ago today! The year is 93' and a completely different sound is to roar out from the sunny part of the country. G-Funk and gangsta rap rule all over Oakland, but @soulsofmischief is going in a different direction. With jazz and funk-based beats, this collective will make a mark and create a classic. This is uplifting Hip Hop that makes me smile and can't help but enjoy every track. "93' to Infinity" is their debut and was released by the legendary company Jive. Souls of Mischief is a perfectly composed group of gifted rappers with a positive message and seems to me like a group of people enjoying life. This shines through in their performance on this record. Both the production and the spitting are spot on and I can do nothing but give this project the full pot. When the sun is shining, there is no doubt that this will contribute to making the day even better. At the time of writing, this is exactly the case. Maybe I'm praising this a little too much now, but I'm really in the zone now and think it's important to include it when I evaluate this release.
