HOMEMADE SPOOKY CUPCAKES 🎃🕷️🧁 Note to self, don’t show your child professional baking videos on Instagram unless you are prepared to spend 4 hours covered in icing attempting to recreate baked masterpieces for their birthday party 😅 While the finished products weren’t quite as flawless as the baked art @stillbusybaking creates, Bowie absolutely LOVED her spooky spider and pumpkin cupcakes and baking together has been something we’ve done since she was a baby so it was fun to take on the challenge together! WHAT YOU NEED: • A LOT of vanilla icing (we made buttercream using 9 cups of powdered sugar, 2 cups of butter, 2tbsp of vanilla and milk added 1 tbsp at a time to get desired consistency!) • Cupcakes (we went with a box of @pillsburybaking Devil’s Food Cake) • Orange & Black food dye • Oreos • Candy eyeballs • A small round tip for spider legs and dots to secure eyeballs AND a super wide spiky tip (not the professional term) for frosting spider base and pumpkin • Piping bags • Parchment paper for pressing pumpkin frosting and making hand-cut stencil for face Lastly, you will absolutely need a lot of patience and a little bit of luck! 😝 #halloweenbaking #halloweentreats #halloween #halloweendiy #homebaking
