If I could go back in time, this is what I’d tell myself about prayer.👇️⁠ ⁠ 🙏Scripture describes prayer as a struggle. You’re not alone! Several passages of scripture describe how prayer involves difficulty and requires perseverance (see Colossians 4:12, Ephesians 6:18, Matthew 26:41). ⁠ ⁠ When you struggle, come before God with your weakness so He can give you the strength to persevere and draw near to Him. ⁠ ⁠ 🙏 The Holy Spirit is your Helper. When you can’t find the words, He intercedes for you in prayer to the Father.⁠ ⁠ “We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans...the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God” (Romans 8:26-27).⁠ ⁠ 🙏 Use scripture to help you pray! Scripture gives us a rich library—that’s God-breathed—to grow our knowledge of Him and our understanding of how to pray.⁠ ⁠ Don’t know where to start?
