Lunch date with hubby at @original_botak_jones! 😍 I’m pretty sure the name “Botak Jones” is not new to many of us. In fact, some of us (like myself) have been indulging in their classic Western fare since we were kids. Now, it’s back as a Muslim-owned establishment with the same good taste, generous portions, affordable pricing, and an expanded menu! Here we are at their Kampong Ampat outlet, checking out some of their signature dishes! What we have here include: ▫️𝗥𝗶𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀: 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 & 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 Chargrilled to a medium well perfection, and served with their brown beef gravy. So tender, juicy and tender, it’s definitely a must-try! ▫️𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 & 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀: 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼 & 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗼 Coated with panko breadcrumbs and fried to order. I like that the fish is not too oily, and while the exterior is golden and crispy, the breading isn’t too thick. ▫️𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘀 Breaded using panko, the deep frying of the jalapeno melts the cheese inside while giving the surface a lovely crunch. Every bite a delight! ▫️𝗕𝗕𝗤 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 Sweet, tangy and lightly spicy! This is ultimate 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘰𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴!
