Challenge yourself for St. Thérèse’s feast day!⁠ ⤵️ Over the next couple days, choose some small, simple, invisible way to mortify your will (choosing something other than what your preference would be as a sacrifice) in line with the doctrine of St. Thérèse. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ Offer this small sacrifice up for the sake of someone else’s intention.⁠⁠ ⁠ Comment 🙌 if you’re joining the challenge and let’s pray for one another! ⁠ ⁠⁠ Note: Usually when we think of “sacrifice” we think of “giving something up” or restricting some behavior. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ However, making a “sacrifice of our self-will” doesn’t mean restricting. It may in fact look like normal behavior to others, and only you will know you are making a sacrifice. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ Examples:⁠⁠ 👉 Want chicken for dinner? Choose fish or beef instead.⁠⁠ 👉Want to watch a particular show on tv? Choose to watch what a family member prefers instead.⁠⁠ 👉Going back for a second helping of food? Take a little less than you want of the extra serving.⁠⁠ 👉Want to read a book?
