Chicago marathon has my heart 💙❤️ 19 years ago I ran Chicago for the first time and I never imagined I’d be faster and still loving marathons almost 20 years later!! . Chicago is special, as it is the birthplace of my 1st sub 3 marathon. Last year was the 10 year anniversary of that sub 3, so I made it a goal for last years race to go for it and it happened! . This year will be my 13th Chicago and now 46th marathon. (15 sub 3’s) Im excited to go back once again and run the streets of the beautiful city that got me hooked so many years ago. My training doesn’t point to another sub 3, but with cooler temps and adrenaline I might just go for it. If there is one thing I’ve learned in my years of running, it’s that you have to believe something is possible before you can achieve it!! . For all the first timers out there, get ready for the race of your lifetime!! A flat, fast course with amazing crowd support!! Weather is looking good, hopefully it stays that way!🙏🏼 .
