Biography

Wasionkey, born Emmanuel Christiano Jacinthe, was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He had been immersed in music from an early age having been a member of school choirs and even picking up the trombone in 5th grade. He always knew he was destined for music. His father, a heavily religious man, would often sing Christian songs and Wasionkey picked up the habit quickly. After high school, Wasionkey decided to start rapping with the encouragement of Rey Mula who introduced him to the craft. He wrote poetry most of his lifetime, so it was an easy feat for him. "Having always been a fan of literature classes, English classes, and other classes that required creative writing, writing music and lyrics came naturally to me." Wasionkey and Rey released their first mixtape which was a mixture of R&B and Hip Hop. Wasionkey soon-after moved to Grand Junction Colorado.
