神奈川県出身。 HIP HOP的なリリックとソウルフルでリヴァービーな歌声で、ジャンルレスな音楽を展開。 2016年10月アルバム「Groove it」でデビューし、iTunes Storeにてトップ10入り、 ヒップホップ/ラップチャートでは1位を獲得。2018年2月、2ndアルバム「Juice」をリリースし、またもやiTunes Storeの 同チャートで1位、Apple Musicのアルバムランキングでは最高位2位を記録するなど注目を集める。 ドノヴァン・フランケンレイターやコリーヌ・ベイリー・レイのオープニングアクトを務め、ChloeやVALENTINOのパーティーにてパフォーマンスを披露。 2020年、3月に4thアルバム「Sparkle」をリリース。 iri is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Kanagawa. Today, she performs genre-less music with her soulful vocal and lyrics inspired by hip-hop. iri’s debut album, Groove it, was released in October, 2016. This album was in the chart of iTunes Japan Top 10 albums and reached #1 in iTunes Japan Hip-hop/Raps chart. Another single, “Wonderland”, was released in March, 2019. This song was used as the commercial song of SONY WALKMAN. Music video of “Wonderland” was viewed more than 12 million times on YouTube. iri performed opening-act for Donavon Frankenreiter, and for Corinne Bailey Rae. Also she sang at parties of Chloe and VALENTINO.
