Watch rehearsal trailers and performance video''s, brought to you by Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), under the artistic leadership of Paul Lightfoot, is the leading contemporary dance company in the world. The company originated in 1959, when 22 people broke free from the Nederlands Ballet. These rebels were impassioned by dance and the desire to give it a style of their own. Through the years NDT has done pioneering work in contemporary dance, building up a rich repertoire of over 600 ballets including masterpieces by Jiří Kylián and Hans van Manen, as well as the work of house choreographers Sol León and Paul Lightfoot, associate choreographers Crystal Pite, Johan Inger, Alexander Ekman and Marco Goecke and creations by guest choreographers such as Gabriela Carrizo, Hofesh Shechter en Cayetano Soto.
