Biography
Born in Barcelona, Spain is José J. Cortijo since 1983 working as a musician and music-teacher in Germany. First professor for latin percussion in Germany at the university of music and performing arts Mannheim and lecturer for various organizations and workshops. Author of a various percussion publications as well as author of a periodical workshop in the professional german magazine „drums & percussion". Author of the add-on for the notation program FINALE „scoreGroove". Artistic director from the World Percussion Academy & the Cajon Academy
