März 2003 gegründet, ist im Vereinsregister des Amtsgerichtes Hamburg eingetragen und vom Finanzamt als gemeinnützig anerkannt. Die GNBF e.V. ist als einziger nationaler Verein dem Welt-Dachverband DFAC (Drug Free Athletes Coalition / USA) angeschlossen und fördert wie dieser das gesunde, dopingfreie Bodybuilding.
