Slime is a family-run business. In the late 1980s, the Cegelski brothers blended the first bottles of Slime sealant by hand with a power drill and drywall blade in their garage on the Central Coast of California. They gazed out at the trails and sandy dunes and realized how much the "green slimy stuff" would help mountain bikers and off-roaders keep rolling, flat-free. Slime developed a fiercely-dedicated following, helping its customers "ride like the wind" (Remember Christopher Cross?). The Slime name stuck—and twenty years later our sealants are still blended and bottled in California. While musical tastes have changed, the heart of our business hasn't: Slime sealants.
