In areas where oysters populations have been declining or removed, the water quality and number of fish decreased. 📍CARLSBAD AQUAFARM @thecarlsbadaquafarm 4522 Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad, CA 92008 Sustainable Seafood Tasting & Ratings: $60-80 / person Raw oysters (types of oysters: Carlsbad Blondes, Lunas, Krakens) RATING: 9.5/10 - so fresh, natural sweetness, and safe to eat - after having raw oysters here, I don’t want to eat them anywhere else - 4 oysters per person Steamed Mussels RATING: 9/10 - wish the mussels were more tender; but the sauce/broth was fantastic - includes 6 mussels & fresh bread Peruvian Scallops RATING: 8.7/10 - not the big buttery scallops I prefer, still enjoyable - includes 3 Scallops. Carlsbad Kraken (BBQ grilled oyster) - RATING: 9.7/10 - the sage garlic butter sauce, melted parmesan paired super well and the grilled oyster was juicy and tender. It was our favorite dish. This is for the farm-to-table and sustainability lovers. If you’d like, you can also purchase more oysters and mussels to take home with you. Thanks for being here!
