Front bed yesterday evening as the sun was setting! This is a “new” bed…. For the 3rd time 🥴😩. After it was ripped apart last summer to fix the main water line that broke underground 😩 (our house is 103 years old. The line was original to when water 1st became available in this neighborhood😱), I put it back together end of spring this year. . I borrowed 2 limelight’s from hydrangea lane (they were a beast to dig up after 6 years) and placed these arborvitae balls in front to “hug” my bird bath from marketplace. Those were from clearance, last fall ☺️. I have 2 more permanent elements to add, then this bed will be complete. . I pruned the limelight’s extremely hard, to start the process of shaping them for this area. By next season they will fill in nicely and evenly. . Pink puff balls are gomphrena, supertunia vista jazz berry in front (they need a midsummer trim). I also had some potato vines, but the groundhogs had a field day with those! . Basket from marketplace as well. I filled it with 1 superbells magic pink lemonade, 1 supertunia mini vista sweet sangria (new for 2024), 1 superbells double smitten pink (2024) and of course the weeds mixed throughout for a fuller look.
