It’s hard to believe it has already been 3.5 years since I decided to #ditchthedye Being on this side of things for a few years, I’ve noticed a ripple effect in the lives of many women that make the uncomfortable decision to let their silvers sparkle, regardless of age. (I’m 37 if you wanted to know 👍) Saying ‘no thank you’ to unnecessary societal standards has consequences - ones that will change more than just hair color. I’ve witnessed an unfolding in confidence, which bleeds beautifully in to all other aspects of life. I’ve seen relationships flourish, careers change, health improve, personalities blossom. I see a lot of women finally willing to try things they’ve never tried - accomplish things they’ve always dreamed of - conquer some of their greatest personal fears - including saying ‘NO’ to things that aren’t serving them well. It’s incredible. It wasn’t until after I stopped hiding my silver hair that I stepped fully in to songwriting. I guess I finally gave myself permission to just be me.
