You may have read about my “silhouette” in a review of Pulp’s show at Latitude this weekend. Let me tell you the story of that silhouette…. It all began when I bought a Tommy Nutter black velvet suit from a second hand shop in Islington in 1992. It was a bit small for me but I loved it so I wore it without a shirt in the video for “Babies”.( btw I still have the jacket - the trousers got destroyed in an incident too involved to go into here.) Swipe to photo 2: 20 years later I was lured into being photographed for the GQ UK 25th anniversary issue when they informed me that the clothes I’d be wearing were made by Edward Sexton - & that Edward had been the head cutter at Tommy Nutter. This led to me getting a suit made (see photos 3 &4). Which brings us to Photo #5: the Sexton Sihouette is what you have seen if you’ve been to any of this summer’s Pulp concerts.
