I am a disabled Black woman and an entertainment executive who works on disability representation. Lachi: Hi, my name is Lachi. She/her. I am a Black woman with cornrows. I identify as legally blind. And I’m a recording artist, songwriter, and disability advocate. Tatiana: And one thing I want to remind people is that when you think about disability, intersectionality exists. I’m a disabled Black woman. Lachi: I’m a blind Black woman. Tiffany: I’m a disabled Asian woman. Lachi: And we are super duper fly. Tatiana: Yes! Lachi: I mean, look at this. Tatiana: So think about intersectionality when you’re thinking about disability because we exist! We’re fabulous, we’re amazing, and we should be thought about. Lachi: We need to be celebrated. You need to know who we are. You need to follow us. You need to support us. You need to be in our backyard and hanging out with us. because we are here, and we are loud and we are proud.
