“Buttered cat paradox” (Submitted by artist John Frazee, the paradox considers what would happen if one attached a piece of buttered toast (butter side up) to the back of a falling cat. As known, cats always land on their feet. Also, toast with butter always land on the side with butter. So, the system of a cat and the toast will rotate forever because each its part will try turn them down the right side. With some improvements one can build a perpetual motion machine on this principle.) / “Il paradosso del gatto imburrato” (Inventato dallo statunitense John Frazee a scopo goliardico, il paradosso dimostrerebbe come sia possibile arrivare al moto perpetuo attaccando una fetta di pane imburrato sulla schiena di un gatto in caduta. Come si sa, i gatti atterrano sempre in piedi e le fette di toast con il burro cadono sempre dalla parte del burro, quindi questo sistema vedrà il gatto roteare su se stesso all’infinito.)
