Picture this: It's 11pm and I'm strolling outside the Principe, enjoying a gentle breeze and 42*, when suddenly, BAM! The power goes out, and Malfa transforms into a pitch-black abyss. Naturally, I thought, "No worries, it'll be back in a jiffy." But boy, was I wrong. So, I sprinted back to the hotel, making sure our trusty generator was ready to save the day. The Principe was lit (literally), while the rest of the town was engulfed in darkness. The Principe team spent the entire night playing "Fan Fairy" by bringing fans to each room to keep everyone cool, thanks to our generator. It covered the basics: keeping the lights on, powering up the rooms, and saving our precious food in the fridges. Let me tell you, it's a scary world without power. We forget just how much we rely on it nowadays. I mean, you can't even pump water without it! We managed to survive the power outage like champs for a full 24 hours. But then, tragedy struck - our trusty generator decided to take an unplanned vacation. Luckily, the incredible folks in Malfa were working hard to find alternative solutions, and now we're back in business with some power. All this chaos made me stop and think about our modern-day expectations. We want everything to be perfect – the temperature, the climate, and heck, even our Instagram filters. But you know what? Maybe we all need a reality check. Sometimes, lukewarm is perfectly okay. It's a reminder that life isn't meant to be flawless all the time. We need to learn to prioritize and appreciate the little things, not just during power outages, but in our everyday lives.
