Morning, morning! How are we all? I hope well. Me? Well, the summer (not that we are actually having much of one) holiday juggle sneaks up on me every. single. time. But as always, I’ll find my rhythm about a week before the return to school… I’ve been sniffing around the kitchen offerings from @inigo.house again and this beauty sang out to me. Of course there is additional storage on the other side of the room if you look on the website. But I love the fact that if you place your thumb over the tap and sink, the room barely looks like a kitchen. I know losing wall units is not a realistic possibility for many but it’s always worth considering if you are lucky to have the space for floor-to-ceiling cabinetry or a large freestanding pantry cupboard elsewhere. When it comes to design, I feel it is always better to simplify than complicate and this quiet palette is what gives this kitchen its calming effect. There should always be room for a little surprise in the design and for me it’s the vintage clock as well as the window blind which brings in some unexpected colour and pattern. It would have been easier to go for something neutral to tie in with the rest of the space. But this draws the eye and also connects it to the greenery outside. What a glorious space to start any week.
