Havoc rains caused devastation in Balochistan ,hundreds of people have been displaced from their homes. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported 5 people died in the city of Khuzdar, 1 person in Kech, 4 in kharan, 5 in panjgur and 1 person in Lasbela. Hundred of people were reported injured. PDMA also reported several houses damaged or destroyed in Chaghi, Panjgur and Kech. In this past two days it has rained constantly in kharan & panjgur. The main dam of panjgur "nivan dam" has broken. Traffic has been severely disrupted after roads were flooded and several bridges were washed out. In the area of Gandava, town in Jhal Magsi District. A seven years old daughter of rafiq ahmed lashari is drowned in the rain drain. It’s devastating that there was no rescue administration to rescue the girl. Sadly, the locals are left to search for her body. Earlier months 8 people died after flash floods swept away vehicles in the Awaran district of Balochistan on 17 March 2023. Two further fatalities were reported after heavy rain in the Zhob District. Houses were reported damaged in Awaran, Zhob and Khuzdar Districts.” The devastating impacts of the climate are happening all around the world.
