People often ask, what books do I read? Well mostly they are very old, rare and about cultures and systems long gone. We have sadly lost so much accumulated wisdom and knowledge especially in the last 100 years. Steve Solomon has been a prolific author, gardener and still advises on soil health globally at the young age of 80! What’s most remarkable is his library - a life long hunger for knowledge has meant he has accumulated a remarkable collection. What’s even more remarkable is that they are all available to read on line for free. His website soilandhealth.org is a treasure! It influenced the design and food we served at past restaurants, like #greenhousebyjoost #silo @silolondon @brothl and the most recent @futurefoodsystem Anyone that wants to do a deep dive into how past cultures managed to nourish themselves please check out it this body of work.
