The Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity , Incorporated proudly commemorates the posthumous induction of the esteemed late Bro. Ken Riley (9BN67) into the Pro Football Hall of Fame yesterday , August 5th, 2023. Brother Riley, an initiate of the Beta Nu Chapter in 1967, distinguished himself as an NFL cornerback and former head football coach at FAMU. His career was exclusively dedicated to the Cincinnati Bengals, initially within the American Football League (AFL) during 1969, and subsequently within the National Football League (NFL) from 1970 to 1983. Notably, Brother Riley achieved a remarkable 65 interceptions throughout his tenure, a feat that ranked fourth in NFL history at the time of his retirement, trailing only the legendary figures of the Pro Football Hall of Fame:Emlen Tunnell and Paul Krause. Although Bro. Riley's participation in the AFL All-Star Game or the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl remained unattained, the year 2023 marked a momentous turning point. After decades of anticipation, he received the prestigious honor of being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It is noteworthy that Bro.
