KURT VONNEGUT COLLECTION: As promised here are the Kurt Vonnegut art, ephemera, signed and collectible materials. Highlights include: - A copy of the Hamptons periodical, Dan's Papers, cover illustration by Kurt Vonnegut and signed by him as well. - A fan etching of the author signed by Vonnegut. - A signed, leatherbound copy of Bluebeard. You can browse the rest of the collection on our website or come shop it in the store. If you have any questions about any of our rare books, please email [email protected] or call us at 631-482-5008. CALENDARS: We have 2024 calendars! Lots of them. They are on the windowsill display at the front of the store. REMAINDERS: In quick succession we received like four orders of remainders (think of these as never read, steeply discounted publisher overstock books). We've got a ton of classic fiction, plays and poetry, philosophy, metaphysics and religion. We've got collections of: fantasy, Japanese mythology, Celtic mythology, Norse mythology, time travel, American gothic and horror. USED BOOKS: We've hired two people and so the time it takes for us to process used books as they come through the door has been and will continue to decrease. This allows us to accept more books. EVENT SPACE AND CLEARANCE ROOM: We are getting there! Staining and painting of the refurbished furniture should be complete this week. To all the people who donated furniture - THANK YOU! To those of you waiting on us, we'll be able to pick up more furniture next week and the week after. If you are still interested in donating and haven't reached out yet, please do so! MARKET: Our weekly outdoor market happens every Saturday from 9:30am - 4pm. STORY TIME: Each Monday at 10:30am we have story time for little ones 0 to 4 years old. Come to the kids section for a story or two and a craft! QUEER BOOK CLUB: For our meeting next month, our queer book club, Bent Pages will be reading "Jobs for Girls with Artistic Flair" by June Gervais. AND author June will be at our discussion! The discussion will take place September 6th at 7pm. Reminder, Bent Pages meets on the first Wednesday of every month. #kurtvonnegut #rarebooks #signedbooks
